From Thursday the 19th of May until Saturday the 21st, you are welcomed to attend the Copenhagen Beer Festival. The event takes place indoors, and has up to 70 different beer exhibitions and over 1000 different and high quality brewed beers to try from.
Brewers from all over the world come together to advertise their exquisite beers. It is the perfect opportunity for anyone to discover their beer preferences. There are light beers, rich beers, fruity, sour, malty, bitter, and anything in between. Whatever your preference, you will find at least 10 variations you will enjoy. However, you will not only get to savor different kinds of beer, you will learn about what makes them unique and what gives them their flavor. It is a chance to learn some history about the world’s most popular alcoholic beverage.
For those of you who are not so much into beer but would love to experience the event anyway, you will be happy to hear that it is also possible to get food. Of course, no beer is ever paired together with sushi, so expect beef, pork or chicken dishes, some of which might have been prepared with beer to keep the theme steady. All servings cost 75kr and are made with high quality ingredients. For more information about which meal will be served on each day, check out the link bellow.
Tickets and price
The price of the event varies depending on how much beer you would like to try. Note that the prices that are listed below are per day. The currency used to try the beers is ‘tokens’. Each sample cost 1 token, and each token will get you 100 ml of your choice of beer. The very rare and special beer will only get you 50 ml per token.
For 125 kr, the cheapest admission, you will get you tasting glass and a festival guide. This rate does not include the price of any beers, so it is perfect for those that will only have 1 – 5 tastings. You will need to purchase your tokens at the event once you have selected a beer you would like to taste. Be warned, that this same ticket will cost 150 kr if you buy it at the gate instead of booking it online.
